“Mr Romney, what are your assumptions that China’s economy will falter? The world is facing a seasonal downturn which will end by July, the worst case scenerio if there is a fallout from Greece, China’s economy will slowdown to 6%. Are you a doomsday fanatic? There will not be a ‘End of the World’ scenerio under my watch. I know everything that is happening in this world, so I have contingency plans to fix any problems before it becomes critical. Syria is the only problem that if I totally ignore Assad and pretend he does not exist and there is totally no action and publicity, he will stop sulking like a kid. – Contributed by Oogle.”

WASHINGTON (AFP) – Republican White House hopeful Mitt Romney warned about the unpredictable Chinese economy on Friday, saying it could suffer a downturn ‘at any point’, with little Washington could do to stop it.
‘China is obviously growing very quickly, but is fragile in many respects, and their economy could see a reversal at any point,’ the presumptive Republican presidential nominee told United States (US) financial network CNBC.
‘I hope that doesn’t happen, but it’s certainly not as stable and predictable as you would hope,’ Mr Romney said in discussing how turbulent conditions around the globe might impact the United States, where unemployment crept up on Friday to 8.2 per cent amid a poor US jobs report.
‘Of course the developments around the world always influence our jobs,’ Mr Romney said.
